• Number Sense and Operations: Includes place value, estimation, rounding, and operations with whole numbers, decimals, and fractions.
• Algebra Basics: Introduction to variables, expressions, equations, and inequalities. Solving simple equations and graphing linear equations.
• Geometry and Measurement: Exploring shapes, area, perimeter, volume, and surface area. Working with units of measurement and conversions.
• Data Analysis and Probability: Collecting, organizing, and interpreting data using graphs and charts. Calculating basic probability.
• Ratios, Proportions, and Percentages: Understanding and applying ratios, proportions, and percentages in various contexts. Includes problem-solving with percentages.
• Math Literacy Problem Solving: Developing problem-solving strategies, interpreting word problems, and applying mathematical concepts to real-world situations.
• Financial Literacy (optional): Budgeting, saving, investing, and understanding basic financial concepts. This unit focuses on practical applications of math.
