Course Content

• **Visual Schedule:** A daily or weekly schedule using pictures or symbols to show the routine. This allows for predictability and reduces anxiety.
• **Choice Board:** Offers choices to promote independence and decision-making skills. This uses visuals and can be adapted for various activities.
• **First-Then Board:** A visual support using pictures to show a preferred activity ("Then") after a less preferred activity ("First"). This is a great behavior management tool.
• **Social Story:** A personalized narrative using pictures to describe social situations and appropriate behaviors. This helps children understand and navigate social interactions.
• **Communication Board:** Facilitates communication for nonverbal or minimally verbal children. This may include pictures, words, or a combination of both. Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices are a relevant addition.
